Terms & conditions

Last updated 22 September 2026

These terms cover Cadarn’s current checkout workflow. Eligible orders are paid securely through Stripe. Orders requiring a manual delivery or format quote are confirmed before payment.

1. Who you are dealing with

Cadarn Slate Crafts is the trading name of CADARN SLATE CRAFT LTD, company number 17473039, registered office at 4th Floor, The Featherstone Building, 66 City Road, London, EC1Y 2AL. Current contact details are on the company information page.

2. Products and natural materials

Cadarn makes engraved natural-slate gifts, signs, awards and personalised pieces. Slate is a natural material, so colour, texture, thickness and live-edge character can vary from piece to piece. Product photographs and descriptions are intended to show the design and general character of the finished item, not to promise identical natural stone.

3. Personalised artwork and proofs

Where a product is personalised, Cadarn may provide an artwork proof before engraving. Customers must check names, dates, spelling, layout and other personalised details carefully. Production begins only after the proof is approved where a proof is supplied.

4. Orders, payment and contract formation

Eligible website orders continue to Stripe for secure card payment. Stripe confirms the payment result to Cadarn server-side. Orders that require a manual delivery or format quote are submitted to Cadarn first and are not charged until the amount is confirmed. Personalised work remains subject to Cadarn’s final production check before engraving.

5. Prices and delivery

Product prices and any quoted UK delivery charge are shown before checkout. Personalised size and coaster-pack pricing is fixed in the product builder before payment. A single standard packed parcel is currently measured at 2.5 kg and uses Royal Mail's medium-parcel band. Multi-item, oversized or unusual orders may require a separate delivery quote. The delivery page explains the current approach.

6. Delivery timing

Cadarn will confirm an expected production and delivery timescale before payment where appropriate. Personalised production can depend on proof approval. Unless a different timing is agreed with the customer, statutory delivery requirements continue to apply.

7. Cancellations, returns and faults

Standard distance-sale cancellation rights apply to eligible non-personalised goods. Goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised are generally excluded from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right. This does not remove rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not meet legal requirements. See Returns & cancellations.

8. Customer information

You are responsible for supplying accurate contact, delivery and personalisation information. If you notice an error, contact Cadarn as soon as possible.

9. Problems and complaints

Please contact cadarnslatecraft@outlook.com. Cadarn will try to resolve problems promptly and nothing in these terms is intended to limit statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to these terms

The version that applies to an order will be the version made available when that order is accepted. These terms are reviewed when Cadarn changes its payment, delivery or production workflow.
